Training Your Puppy
Training your puppy can be a very difficult task or it can be a real fun task. It
is all what you make it. When you first bring that little bundle of joy home everyone is all
excited. Everyone is volunteering to look after the new addition. What usually happens though is
one person seems to take on the majority of work and that one person in a family situation is usually one of
the parents.
When deciding to get a puppy you should make that decision as a family. Before you
bring the puppy home it should be decided who is going to do the morning feed, the afternoon feed, the late
afternoon feed the evening feed. Remember puppies usually eat around three to four times a day until
they are about 6 months old then they can down to twice a day.
You also need to decide who is going to take the puppy out for walks. At this young
age the walks will be very short but will increase once the puppy matures. Basically everyone should be
involved with the puppy's upbringing.
Make sure also that any training that is done is done the same by the whole family.
You do not want to confuse your puppy. Puppies thrive on consistency and routine.
Good luck and enjoy your puppy!
